Designated the 455th Strategic Missile Wing from 1961 to 1967 and the 91st Strategic Missile Wing from 1967 to 1991. From 1962 to 1971, the 810th Strategic Aerospace Division was at Minot, so support units used the 862 designation. Designated the 91st Missile Wing from 1991 to 1994, and, under the one base-one wing concept, the 91st Missile Group from 1994 to 1997. Minot is also home to the 5th Bomb Wing. The 57th Air Division at Minot was the host unit from 1988 to 1991, so support units used the 857 designation. Designated the the 91st Space wing in 1997.
