The 390th Strategic Missile Wing at Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona, was activated in 1961 and closed in 1984. The host unit was called the 12th Strategiac Aerospace Division from 1962 to 1971, the 12th Strategic Missile Division from 1971 to 1973 and the 12th Air Division from 1973 to 1976, so support units used the 803 designation. The 355th Fighter Wing was host from 1976 to 1981, when the 836th Air Division was activated and the 836 designation was used for support units.
